Plant note:

Blotch mine on upperside of leaf, occupying the whole leaf when full-grown. The record of Calycotome spinosa (L.) Link [Fabaceae] (Spuler 1910: 415, and repeated by various authors) is probably erroneous. Stigter & Frankenhuyzen (1991: 130–131) found the species also on Malus, Crataegus and Chaenomeles [Rosaceae] but always a bush of Pyracantha was in the neighbourhood. Walczak et al. (2010: 716–717) record 75 hostplant species from two botanical gardens in Poland, of which 18 species support full development of leucographella.
