A junior subjective synonym of Tinea denticulella Thunberg, 1794. Although Tinea gyllenhalella (p.89) has page priority over Tinea denticulella (p.97), Karsholt & Schmidt Nielsen (1986: 447), acting as first revisors, accord precedence to the latter name.
