Plant note:

Stem borer, not merely under the epidermis but actually boring into the pith of the stem (Busck [1934]: 179, see also Davis et al. 1991). Mimosa pigra L. is the main larval hostplant. Larval mortality reaches 70% or higher on the other plants (Davis et al. 1991: 40).
