A primary homonym of Tinea sylvella Hübner, 1813 (not of Phalaena Tinea sylvella Linnaeus, 1767 as stated by Bradley 1966b: 218), and a senior subjective synonym of Lithocolletis acerifoliella Zeller, 1839, synonymized by Stainton (1848a: 2154).
