*   Long (to 30 cm) mines on the stem of the current year's growth, mostly upward. Pupation in a white cocoon spun at the base of a leaf, the leaf margin curled upwards by contraction of the cocoon's silk. Salix cinerea is the main foodplant. The species was found only once on Salix caprea L. in the United Kingdom (Langmaid & Corley 2007: 235).
