| COMMENTS | Type species: Cryptologa nystalea Meyrick, 1932. By monotypy. A junior homonym of Cryptologa Fletcher, 1921. Memoirs of the Department of Agriculture of India (Entomology) 6(1920): 217. Although they denote the same taxon, C. nystalea Meyrick is not based on the same type specimens as C. nystalea Fletcher, the type species of Cryptologa Fletcher. So, C. nystalea Meyrick, 1932 is a junior subjective (not objective) synonym of C. nystalea Fletcher, 1921. Thus, Cryptologa Fletcher, 1921 is available for use as a subjective replacement name (Nye & Fletcher 1991: 84). |
