*   Long (to 30 cm) mines on the stem of the current year's growth, mostly upward. Pupation in a white cocoon spun at the base of a leaf, the leaf margin curled upwards by contraction of the cocoon's silk.

*   Salix cinerea is the main foodplant. The species was found only once on Salix caprea L. in the United Kingdom (Langmaid & Corley 2007: 235).
